The bus from Fethiye to Selçuk took about 4 hours and cost around $20. It included a steward with a cart who walked the isle and offered free drinks, snack and hand sanitizer. I arrived in  Selçuk in the evening and called the owner of the pension. He came to the bus station and pointed me a short distance down the street towards Tuncay Pension.

The pension featured a pretty little courtyard where breakfast was served daily. Although it was mainly a hostel, rooms were inexpensive so I opted for a private room with in suite bathroom.

Ephasus

The main reason for visiting Selçuk was to visit Ephasus. Known locally as Efes, the archaeological site is similar in scale to Pompeii and only 20 percent of it has been excavated. One of the girls staying in the hostel and I decided to visit the ruins together.
