The plan for the next leg of my journey was to go back to the Greek Islands. In order to get there, I had to take a bus from Selçuk to the ferry dock in the town of Çeşme. Because the ferry only left for Greece in the morning, I would stay overnight in a hotel in Çeşme.
Because the Çeşme Peninsula is know for its beaches, my original plan was to check into the hotel and then spend a few hours relaxing in the sun. However, when I asked the man at the front desk of the hotel, he said if I only have a few hours in the area that I should visit a nearby “Boutique Town” called Alaçatı.
Alaçatı
I found the local bus to Alaçatı and followed a handful of people off at the stop. The town was a photographers dream: colorful shops, botique hotels, a medieval stone backdrop, and lots of charming shops. I learned that the area was a hotspot for weddings, and saw at least half a dozen photoshoots on the day I was there.
