Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast is a magical place. Mediterranean climate, olive trees, pebble beaches, tiny seaside villages, and ancient ruins.

We stayed in a home near the north end of the Makarska Riviera. Local cuisine was prepared in an outdoor kitchen on the patio. We ate fresh fish while taking in views of the blue green hills softly rolling into the sunset sea.

Bare feet caressed by warm, salty water and tiny, smooth pebbles on morning walks. Relaxing in the shade of fir trees lining the shoreline—relaxing, dreaming, zenlike under late summer sun.

Casual evenings cool and strolling on the promenade. Waves painted sunset pink, blue and purples lapping lightly on floating boats.

Next destination, Sarjevo, Bosnia. . .
